This
friendly Northen Italian Restaurant has been
serving New Yorkers and the like since the
winter of 1987. It is an offshoot of Salumeria
Biellese, the Italian sausage maker, established
in 1925, providing charcuterie to some of
the finest restaurants in America.
Step
inside Biricchino and you'll find a newly
decorated dining room accented with a granite
floors and tables, surrounded by a friendly
and knowledgable staff. A private room is
also available for special occasions. An assortment
of mixed grilled sausages with a salad is
a nice meal. While the combinations of the
sausages change daily, you're certain to find
something that pleases the palate.
*We are closed on Saturdays during July and August. |

Example
of some of the daily selections are:
- Chicken-apple
sausage flavored with cognac
- Duck
with Grand Marnier and orange peel
- Rabbit
and wild mushrooms, and the list goes
on!
Also,
you must try the "Antipasto Biricchino."
This traditional dish will provide you with
an array of salami, sopressata, coppa, prosciutto,
bresaola, and fresh mozzarella. Biricchino specializes
in homemade pastas such as "Malfatti Piemontesi",
a homemade ravioli stuffed with veal, prosciutto
and parmigiano cheese in light vegetable sauce.
There are some wonderful well-executed entrees
to choose from as the menu has something for
everyone. For dessert, you must try the most
remarkable Tiramisu in town made with espresso
laced champagne bisquits layered in mascarpone
mousse.
We
hope you find a pleasant dining experience as
we are happy to serve you. We thank you for
your patronage and look forward seeing you soon. |
